This condominium development went through several different characters before becoming one of Bachelor Gulch’s most sought-after places to live. Where the buildings are sited, access drives, common area amenities, pathways, and ski access were all a collaborative effort with the project architect, developer, and engineers.
The project presented many interesting planning challenges. All four phases of the project required underground parking, ski-in/ski-out access, public vehicle access, an interconnected path system, and a common pool and recreation area.
We also needed to allow for view corridors to the Gore Range, Red and White Mountain, and Castle Peak. The planting plans required vegetation that harmonized with the natural surroundings, made the project look mature, and complemented the architecture. The project was a truly collaborative effort between the entire team of civil engineers, architects, general contractor, and the owner.
