About This Project
Whether it would be simpler to level this house and start over or to do an extensive remodel was a constant conversation, right up to the time it was touched. It became a stunning transformation of a tired, old Vail structure, sitting on the south bank of the Gore Creek. One of the site challenges was to determine which mature Pine or Spruce tree would offer the greatest opportunity for views to the Creek and space development if removed. The back of the house required a raising of the grade to create circulation from each downstairs room to patios above the waterway.
